Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, threw his pricey ring while he attempted to throw his jacket into the crowd as he performed to a packed house at the Tottenham Stadium in London, UK, on Saturday night.
Popular British-Nigerian podcaster, Adesope Olajide, places the ring’s value at £100,000, or around N85 million.
Adesope noted that he had before caught rings of singers Zlatan Ibile and Diamond Platnumz at each of their concerts, stating that he regretted leaving the front row when the ring dropped.
He mentioned this in a recent fan-interactive Instagram live session.
“Obviously, the Wiz ring, that would have been the one. I’m honest. I could sell it for like £100k,” Adesope said.
Meanwhile, Wizkid made history by being the second African singer to sell out the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, which has a seating capacity of 80,000. The other African to do so in the UK is Burna Boy, who achieved it last month at London Stadium.
The concert attendees included football players Bukayo Saka, Alex Iwobi, and Eddie Nketiah.
