Tinubu to mark 73rd birthday with special prayer at Abuja national mosque

President Bola Tinubu will celebrate his 73rd birthday on Saturday with a special prayer session at the Abuja National Mosque on Friday.

This occasion coincides with the holy month of Ramadan and comes two months before his administration’s second anniversary.

The President will use this opportunity to thank God for preserving and supporting him in his role.

He will also dedicate himself to spiritual reflection and supplication for Nigeria’s continued peace, progress, and prosperity.

President Tinubu believes that collective prayer is a powerful tool for guiding the nation towards progress and harmony. He invites the public to join the prayer session in spirit by offering prayers at their places of worship or wherever they may be.

In a statement on Thursday signed by Bayo Onanuga, presidential spokesperson, Tinubu expressed his gratitude to Nigerians for their support and goodwill.

He reaffirmed his commitment to consolidating democratic gains, fostering economic recovery, and promoting national cohesion.

This is not the first time President Tinubu has marked his birthday with a subdued celebration. Last year, he observed his 72nd birthday with a Jumat prayer at the National Mosque in Abuja, forgoing any celebratory events due to the nation’s challenges at the time.
