Paystack suspends co-founder amid misconduct allegations, old tweets surface

Paystack has suspended its Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer, Ezra Olubi, and launched a formal investigation following an allegation of sexual misconduct.

The company confirmed the suspension to TechCabal, stating it takes the matter “extremely seriously.” Olubi has been immediately relieved of all duties pending the outcome of the inquiry. Paystack has declined to comment further, emphasizing the need to respect the process and those involved.

The allegation was compounded when old posts from Olubi’s X (formerly Twitter) account, dating from 2009 to 2013, resurfaced online. The tweets contained sexually explicit remarks about colleagues and references to minors. One post from 2011 encouraged inappropriately touching a coworker.

Following the viral spread of these posts, Olubi has since deactivated his X account.
