The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has dismissed reports circulating on social media claiming that an assassination attempt was made on one Lt. Ahmed Yerima in Abuja.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the Command stated firmly that no such incident had been reported or recorded anywhere within the FCT. It urged the public to disregard the “false information” and refrain from spreading unverified claims capable of causing panic among residents.

“For the safety of all residents, the Command urges the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the nearest Police Division,” the statement added.
