The screening committee for the All Progressives Congress (APC) 2026 National Convention has applauded the party’s National Chairman, Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, asking him to “take a bow” after his screening.
The exercise, held on March 24, 2026, at the Transcorp Hilton Abuja, was led by Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, who chairs the 42-member panel.
Committee members praised Yilwatda’s leadership, describing his stewardship of the party as effective and commendable since assuming office.
Within APC tradition, the “take a bow” directive is reserved for aspirants who have met all requirements and enjoy broad consensus, signaling strong approval and confidence in their candidacy.
While the screening process covers aspirants for various national positions ahead of the convention, the smooth and celebrated clearance of the national chairman highlights a sense of unity and stability within the party’s leadership.
The development comes as the APC steps up preparations for its 2026 National Convention, where key party offices will be filled. Yilwatda’s endorsement is widely seen as a strong vote of confidence in his leadership as the party positions itself for the 2027 general elections.
