Kashamu returns to Ijebu North, intensifies 2027 consultations

Rasheed Kashamu has continued his consultations ahead of the 2027 general elections with a strategic return to his home base in Ijebu North Local Government Area of Ogun State.

The visit, which took place on April 15, 2026, is part of his ongoing outreach across the Ijebu North/Ijebu East/Ogun Waterside Federal Constituency. It drew a large gathering of party leaders, elders, and stakeholders who turned out to welcome him.

Among those present were the party’s Secretary, Taiwo Adeleye; Woman Leader, Mrs. Nike Akeushola; Treasurer, Kasali Adesina; Youth Leader, Ramota Hamzat; and Vice Chairman, Adenola Segun, who represented the Local Government Chairman, Mosun Oladipupo. Eleven ward chairmen from across the local government were also in attendance.

Addressing party faithfuls, Kashamu stressed the need for unity, dialogue, and collective purpose as preparations for the 2027 elections gather momentum. He noted that effective representation requires active listening and collaboration with constituents.

He described his consultations as a deliberate effort to engage all segments of the constituency, rather than a routine political exercise, adding that his focus remains on inclusive governance and delivering tangible results.

Party leaders at the meeting commended his accessibility and grassroots approach, describing it as a departure from conventional politics. They also expressed confidence in his ability to deliver at the federal level, citing his experience in the Ogun State House of Assembly.

The engagement with leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ijebu North is seen as strengthening Kashamu’s support base, as his consultations continue to gather momentum across the constituency.
