Troops arrest five suspected terror collaborators across four states

Security forces have arrested five suspected terrorist collaborators in separate intelligence-led operations across Adamawa, Borno, Yobe and Niger states.

In Adamawa State, troops of Operation Hadin Kai, working alongside local hunters, apprehended two suspected ISWAP fighters, Babangida Abubakar and Abdullahi Yusuf, in Garkida, Gombi Local Government Area. According to security sources, the suspects allegedly confessed to participating in attacks and abductions in communities across Adamawa and Borno states.

In Yobe State, troops arrested a suspected ISWAP/JAS informant during a stop-and-search operation along the Buni Gari–Buni Yadi road in Gujba LGA. The suspect is currently undergoing interrogation.

Meanwhile, in Borno State, soldiers arrested a suspected logistics supplier believed to be providing food supplies to insurgents in Gubio LGA. Recovered items included a pick-up vehicle loaded with bags of grain, a mobile phone, and cash.

In a related operation in Niger State, troops working with operatives of the Nigeria Immigration Service arrested a suspected Boko Haram informant in Borgu LGA. The suspect was reportedly linked to intelligence support provided during a previous terrorist attack and had been on the run before his arrest.

Military authorities said investigations are ongoing to determine the full extent of the suspects’ involvement and to identify other members of the networks supporting terrorist activities.
