Aide to Reps Deputy Speaker’s daughter makes waves in UK varsity

Dr Vanessa Jerry Uchenna, daughter of security and strategic scholar and Special Adviser to the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr. Jerry Uchenna Nwohu, has been commended for her impressive academic accomplishments in the United Kingdom.

The young medical practitioner graduated with a distinction in Health technology from the prestigious University of West England in the UK.

Her Master’s dissertation, which was on how both clinicians and patients who have foot-drop perceive the use of ankle exoskeletons for ankle rehabilitation and independent living, received high praise from her supervisor and was recommended for publication in the University of West England, Bristol Journal. Ankle exoskeletons are wearable robotic devices designed to support and enhance ankle movement for patients who have difficulties in moving the frontal part of their feet due to neurological disorders.
This accomplishment showcases her dedication, expertise, and potential in the field of health tech, and marks a significant milestone in her career.

Present at her graduation were her beaming family members, including her father, Dr. Nwohu, her brother Richard Jerry Uchenna, director of Africa, Comet CASH at a fintech company in the UK, and her sister Cynthia Oluchi, a human resource expert.
