The Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to release businesswoman and socialite Aisha Achimugu from detention within 24 hours.

Court’s Ruling
Justice Inyang Ekwo ruled that Achimugu should be freed on the same terms as her earlier administrative bail. The court also ordered parties to return on Friday to report on compliance.

Background
Achimugu was arrested by EFCC operatives at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport and was under investigation for alleged conspiracy, money laundering, and other financial crimes.
