The Office of the First Lady of Nigeria has weighed in on a controversy surrounding students’ chants during her visit to Delta State.
A video showed students welcoming the First Lady and the First Lady of Delta State with chants, which included a spontaneous and playful twist.
The students, from the Delta State College of Nursing Sciences, were subsequently issued a query.
However, the First Lady’s office has defended the students’ actions, stating that they were simply expressing themselves in a light-hearted and jovial manner.
The office emphasized the importance of educational institutions fostering an environment where students feel safe to express themselves while maintaining decorum.
It hopes that the matter will be handled with understanding and fairness, ensuring that students continue to thrive in a balanced environment.
