‘Hope, unity will lead us forward’ – Tinubu reassures Nigerians in Easter message

President Bola Tinubu has extended heartfelt Easter greetings to Christians in Nigeria and across the world, urging citizens to embrace the core values of sacrifice, redemption, love, and hope that define the Easter season.

In a statement released by the State House and personally signed by the President, Tinubu reflected on the significance of Easter, describing it as the cornerstone of the Christian faith. He called on Nigerians to draw strength from the message of Christ’s resurrection and to remain hopeful for a brighter future.

“As President of our blessed nation, I draw inspiration from this timeless message of hope and renewal,” Tinubu stated. “I remain steadfast in my commitment to delivering the promise of a Renewed Hope—a better, more just, and prosperous Nigeria for all.”

Addressing recent security challenges and tragic incidents across the country, President Tinubu expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and the distress felt by affected communities. He reaffirmed his administration’s determination to tackle insecurity head-on.

“I have given clear directives to the Armed Forces and all relevant security agencies to end insecurity decisively and without delay,” he said, assuring Nigerians that peace and stability are gradually being restored through the efforts of security personnel.

Tinubu also acknowledged the economic difficulties facing many Nigerians but noted signs of economic recovery. He pledged continued efforts to stabilize the economy, restore investor confidence, and promote inclusivity.

“We understand the economic challenges many of you are facing, and we are working tirelessly to restore investor confidence, stabilise key sectors, and build an inclusive economy that serves the interests of all Nigerians,” he noted.

On the international front, the President joined the global Christian community in expressing gratitude for the recovery of Pope Francis, praying for his continued strength and leadership.

Concluding his message, Tinubu urged Nigerians to remain united and resolute, emphasizing that national challenges can be overcome through collective faith, determination, and resilience.

“Just as Christ triumphed over death, so too shall our country triumph over every challenge we face. The present moment may be cloudy, but it will usher in a glorious day,” he said.

The President wished all Nigerians a peaceful and joyful Easter celebration, praying for continued unity and prosperity in the nation.
