Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have countered attempts by drug cartels to capitalise on recent protests to expand their activities.
The agency’s Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, disclosed this in videos shared on X.com on Sunday.
According to Babafemi, the cartels had planned to take advantage of the protests to move their “markets” across land, sea, and air.
However, NDLEA operatives, armed with personnel, intelligence, cutting-edge technology, and sniffer dogs, were hot on their heels.
Sharing videos, he wrote, “The drug cartels thought they could take advantage of the protests to quickly move their ‘markets’ from all fronts: land, sea and air but #ndlea_nigeria confronted them in equal measure with personnel, intelligence, technology and sniffer dogs. Here are some of the results.”
