The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has successfully extradited Benjamin Best Nnayereugo, alias “Killaboi,” from Doha, Qatar to Nigeria to face charges for the murder of Miss Augusta Oseodion Onuwabhagbe.

The extradition was made possible through coordinated efforts with the Ministry of Justice, INTERPOL National Central Bureau (NCB), and Qatari Judicial Authorities.

The Murder Case
The suspect allegedly murdered the 21-year-old university student at his residence in Lagos on July 13, 2023, and later released an online video confessing to the crime in an attempt to derail investigative efforts.

International Cooperation
The NPF worked with INTERPOL NCB Abuja and INTERPOL NCB Doha to track down the suspect, who had been using forged identities and evading law enforcement across multiple regions.

A statement on Saturday signed by Police spokesperson Olumuyiwa Adejobi said the Qatari authorities arrested him in February, and an official extradition request was processed via the Federal Ministry of Justice.

IGP’s Commendation and Assurance
Inspector-General of Police Dr Kayode Egbetokun commended the diligence of INTERPOL NCB Abuja and appreciated the collaboration with the Government of Qatar, INTERPOL NCB Doha, and the Nigerian Embassy in Qatar.

He assured the public of the NPF’s commitment to ensuring the suspect faces diligent prosecution.
