President Bola Tinubu has approved a ₦110 billion special intervention fund for 18 Nigerian universities to strengthen medical education and address the country’s healthcare workforce shortage.
Fund Allocation
Each university will receive approximately ₦4 billion, with ₦750 million allocated for constructing student hostels. The funding will also establish eight state-of-the-art medical simulation laboratories across Nigeria’s geo-political zones.
