The President acknowledged Governor Sani’s commitment to prioritizing security and infrastructure, which he believes has placed the state firmly on a path of progress. “Senator Uba Sani has been focused on security and infrastructure since he came into office,” stated the President. “You are a good leader. I’m proud to say Kaduna is back again, and I am happy to work with you.”

Recognizing the invaluable support from traditional rulers in promoting peace and unity within the state, President Tinubu reiterated his dedication to collaborating with Governor Sani on various developmental projects, including a light rail transportation system aimed at enhancing mobility within Kaduna.

“I thank the Governor for leading the peace efforts. Peace is the hallmark of development. I am proud to say that Kaduna is rising again,” he remarked, along with praising the successful transformation of previously volatile regions like Birnin Gwari, which can now be traversed safely even at night.

During the visit, President Tinubu conferred the prestigious Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (CFR) on former Governor Col. Dangiwa Umar for his significant contributions to democracy, while also awarding Governor Sani the Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON) for his leadership.

Governor Sani reciprocated the President’s commendations, pledging to effectively utilize resources for the advancement of Kaduna State and expressing appreciation for federal backing of key projects, including the 100 billion naira allocated for the Kaduna Light-Rail Transit in the 2025 budget.

Former Vice President Namadi Sambo and retired Gen. Zamani Lekwot also expressed gratitude for President Tinubu’s support, particularly for the completion of the long-awaited 300-Bed Specialist Hospital, a project that had been dormant for nearly two decades.

Numerous dignitaries attended the momentous occasion, including governors from various states, the Deputy Senate President, and the National Security Adviser, all united in their support for the ongoing development initiatives in Kaduna.
