A devastating collision on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway has claimed the lives of 10 individuals.
The accident, which occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, left several others injured and vehicles mangled beyond recognition.
The Spokesperson of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Florence Okpe, confirmed the incident to newsmen in Abeokuta.
18 men were involved in the accident, out of which seven persons sustained injuries, 10 died while one was unhurt.
Okpe said that the accident was due to over speeding on the part of the bus driver, leading to loss of control of the wheels.
“The bus rammed into the truck that was about negotiating the turning,” she said.
Okpe further stated that the injured victims were taken to Famobis Hospital, Mowe, for medical attention while the deceased were deposited at Idera Morgue, Sagamu.
