Nasir el-Rufai, former governor of Kaduna State, arrived at the Federal High Court in Kaduna on March 24, 2026, for arraignment over alleged money laundering and conversion of public property.

He is to be arraigned alongside Joel Adoga by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC). El-Rufai has been in ICPC custody since February 19, following his release by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Security around the court was significantly increased, with police and civil defence operatives patrolling the premises ahead of his arrival.
