Nollywood actress Peggy Ovire has publicly accused her estranged husband, Frederick Leonard, of deliberately stalling their ongoing divorce proceedings while also alleging that he is involved in a romantic relationship with a married woman.

In a series of posts shared on her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, June 9, Ovire made several allegations against the actor, claiming that he has continued an affair with a married woman who has children.

To support her claims, the actress posted a video showing Leonard and the woman she identified as his alleged lover attending an event together over the weekend.

Ovire also resurfaced a cryptic message she originally shared in February, in which she questioned whether any woman could remain in a marriage under such circumstances. In the post, she alleged that her husband’s relationship with the woman began under the guise of friendship, noting that the woman attended their wedding and that the alleged affair continued even after their marriage.

The actress suggested that the situation contributed significantly to the breakdown of their relationship, while expressing frustration over what she described as delays in finalising the divorce process.

Neither Leonard nor the woman named in the allegations had publicly responded to the claims as of the time of filing this report.

Ovire and Leonard, both well-known figures in the Nigerian film industry, got married in a lavish and widely publicised traditional and white wedding ceremony in November 2022. Their union attracted significant attention from fans and colleagues across the entertainment industry.
