The African Action Congress (AAC) has written to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, seeking approval to hold the inauguration of its 2027 Presidential Campaign Council at the Presidential Villa, Aso Rock, Abuja, on November 11, 2026.

In a letter dated October 21, 2026, and signed by its National Secretary, Oshiokhue Philip Ikpemoighena, the party also requested food, drinks and other logistical support for participants at the event.

The AAC said its request was anchored on the principles of multiparty democracy, political inclusiveness, fairness and equal treatment of political parties.

It also cited arrangements reportedly made for the All Progressives Congress (APC) to hold a similar political engagement, arguing that public institutions should serve all Nigerians without partisan discrimination.

The Presidency had yet to respond to the request as of the time the letter was made available.
