In a statement on Sunday, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, said the schedule reflects ADC’s commitment to internal democracy, orderliness, and compliance with electoral guidelines.

According to the timetable, the sale of nomination forms will run from May 5 to May 10, 2026, while submission of completed forms is set for May 11 to May 13.

Screening of aspirants will take place from May 14 to May 15, with results to be released on May 17. Appeals are scheduled for May 18 to May 19, and the final list of cleared candidates will be published on May 20.

The party said primary elections will begin on May 21, starting with legislative positions at the ward level.

Governorship primaries are fixed for May 22, while the presidential primary will hold on May 25, 2026. This will be followed by a National Executive Committee meeting on May 26 and a Special National Convention on May 27 for final ratification.

ADC also fixed its nomination fees, pegging the presidential form at N100 million, governorship at N50 million, Senate at N20 million, House of Representatives at N10 million, and State House of Assembly at N3 million.

To encourage wider participation, the party introduced concessions, offering 50% discount for youths and 25% discount for women and persons with disabilities.
