Umo Eno, Governor of Akwa Ibom State and a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has reiterated his support for President Bola Tinubu’s second term bid, insisting that his decision is deliberate and not a betrayal of his party.

Reasons Behind Support
Speaking at a rally in Ikot Ekpene LGA, Eno said his choice is rooted in sincerity and will be explained in due time. “When the time comes, I will tell you the reason… You will see what he is doing for our state and you will know why we should not go elsewhere,” he said.

Commitment to PDP Membership
Eno emphasized that his support for Tinubu does not affect his status as a PDP member. “Akwa Ibom does not know how to flip-flop… I am entitled to my own opinion,” he said.

Second-Term Ambition
The governor also expressed confidence in his second-term ambition, citing wide backing from Senate President Godswill Akpabio. “The senate president has told me in many fora… they will support Pastor Umo Eno for a second term,” he said.
