The All Progressives Congress (APC) has reconstituted the leadership of its 2026 National Convention Central Coordination Committee, appointing former Katsina State governor, Aminu Bello Masari, as the new chairman.
Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, who was earlier named to head the committee, has been reassigned to serve as treasurer following the restructuring.
The ruling party also expanded the membership of the committee from 73 to 90 members, a move it said was aimed at accommodating more party stakeholders ahead of the national convention.
New members added to the committee include Senator Barry Mpigi and other notable party chieftains.
According to the APC, the reconstitution reflects a revised composition of the 2026 National Convention Central Coordination Committee and was carried out to address zoning considerations and other strategic exigencies in preparation for the planned convention.
