APC suspends governor’s aide for bringing snake to govt house

The Kebbi State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has suspended Kabir Sani-Giant, the special assistant to Governor Nasir Idris on Power and Politics.

He was suspended from the ruling party due to alleged misconduct involving a snake incident at the Government House in Birnin Kebbi.

The suspension was confirmed in a statement released by the party’s State Secretary, Alhaji Sa’idu Muhammad-Kimba, who described Sani-Giant’s action in bringing the snake to the Government House as both embarrassing and unacceptable.

According to the statement, the incident took place on February 8 when Sani-Giant allegedly brought a snake into Government House. This act reportedly caused panic among dignitaries, statesmen, and government officials.

“His conduct was not only alarming but also posed a serious security risk. It embarrassed the party and could bring it into disrepute,” Muhammad-Kimba stated.

As a disciplinary measure, the APC announced that Sani-Giant’s suspension would remain in effect while investigations continue. The statement also warned that a repeat of such behavior could lead to his permanent expulsion from the party.

“The party will not tolerate actions that could damage its reputation. His suspension remains in place until investigations are concluded,” Muhammad-Kimba added of Sani-Giant’s offence in bringing a snake into the Government House.
