The All Progressives Congress (APC) has won the Edo state governorship election after the collation of results from all 18 LGAs.

Results from the remaining two LGAs which were suspended hours ago are now in at the collation centre of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Benin, the Edo capital.

Monday Okpebholo if the APC polled 291,667 votes to defeat the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Asue Ighodalo who scored 247,274 votes.

The collation started on Sunday morning after it failed to kick off after the election on Saturday.
