Chaos erupts at PDP caucus meeting as security ejects members from NEC hall

A caucus meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) turned chaotic on Monday as security operatives forcibly ejected several members from the national executive committee (NEC) hall at the party’s headquarters in Abuja. The situation escalated as members arrived for the scheduled meeting, only to find themselves confronted by protocol officers who claimed certain individuals did not belong in the gathering.

The turmoil intensified when security personnel forcibly removed two members, leading to a shattered glass door in the process. “Are you a National Working Committee (NWC) member?” shouted Chinwe Nnorom, the national director of publicity, as the members were dragged out of the venue.

Earlier that day, security forces had taken control of the PDP headquarters, preventing members of the board of trustees (BoT) from accessing the NEC hall for their meeting. Consequently, the BoT was left with no choice but to relocate their meeting to the Yar’Adua Centre in the central business district of Abuja.

This incident marks a continuation of the turmoil the PDP has faced in recent weeks as internal disputes and crises escalate within the party, prompting fresh drama and uncertainty about its leadership dynamics.
