The Department of State Services (DSS) has dismissed 115 of its personnel as part of ongoing internal reforms to strengthen discipline and uphold integrity within the security agency.
In a statement shared on its official X handle on Tuesday, the Service said the action followed a comprehensive review process that identified the affected officials. Their names have now been published on the agency’s website.

The DSS further cautioned the public against transacting or communicating with the dismissed personnel, noting that some of them have continued to parade themselves as serving officers.

“As part of the ongoing reforms in the Department of State Services, the public is hereby informed that a total of 115 personnel have been dismissed over a period,” the statement read.
The Service also referenced earlier warnings regarding two individuals — Barry Donald and Victor Onyedikachi Godwin — accused of fraudulent activities while impersonating DSS operatives.
“Members of the public are therefore advised to desist from any official dealings with these individuals who have been dismissed by the Service,” it said.
The DSS urged citizens to report suspicious interactions and assured that it remains committed to professionalism and improved service delivery.
“For clarity, the identities of the affected persons have been published on the website of the Service,” the statement added, providing its official helpline and email for enquiries and complaints.
