Residents of Kubwa in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for ongoing road construction in satellite towns, carried out by the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) under the leadership of FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.
Speaking during the minister’s inspection of the Kubwa–Gbazango Road, popularly known as Arab Road, on Friday, a resident, Prosper Onyenaucheya, commended the administration for focusing on projects that directly impact local communities.
“You are doing a wonderful job, and the work is progressing rapidly,” he said. “We appreciate the speed and effort. You have truly made your presence felt and contributed positively to the President’s performance record. Nigerians will surely miss this administration because of your work.”
During the inspection, Wike expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of ongoing projects, including the Karu township roads, Apo–Karshi Road, and the Kubwa–Gbazango Road. He disclosed that many of the projects would be commissioned as part of activities marking the third anniversary of the Tinubu administration.
The minister reaffirmed the FCTA’s commitment to expanding road networks across the territory while improving cleanliness and urban organization through sustained infrastructure development and renewal initiatives.
Addressing journalists, Wike confirmed that the Karu township roads would be among those slated for inauguration. He also praised Abdul Val Nigeria Ltd, the contractor handling the Karu Road project—from Karu Interchange to Customs Clinic Junction—for delivering quality work.
“The progress is commendable, and what stands out is that this is a local contractor. It shows that with the right opportunity, Nigerian firms can compete effectively with foreign companies,” he said.
On the Kubwa–Gbazango Road, Wike expressed confidence that, based on assurances from the contractor, the project would also be ready for commissioning in June.
