One Elizabeth Titilayo George, a female Airman of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), has killed herself. A board has been set up to investigate the incident.

George, was found dead on Sunday at her residence at Block T5 Flat 8 in Sam Ethnan Air Force Base Ikeja, Lagos state.

It is suspected that the Master Warrant Officer working at 651 Base Services Group committed suicide on Saturday, for reasons yet to be ascertained.

Air Commodore Ayodele Famuyiwa, the NAF spokesperson confirmed the incident on phone to newsmen on Sunday.

Famuyuwa also disclosed that the remains of George, who was confirmed dead by three Air Provost has been deposited at the 661 Nigerian Air Force Hospital and that a board has been set up to investigate the incident and ascertain the reason behind the Airman action.
