The Department of State Services (DSS) has freed Adejuwon Soyinka, a journalist earlier detained upon arrival into the country from the United Kingdom.

Newspread had reported the arrested of the regional editor of Conversation Africa at the Murtala Mohammed Airport in the early hours of Sunday.

“I have just been released by the DSS in Lagos,” Soyinka wrote.

“They are holding on to my passport, though. I am in an Uber ride ordered for me by the Deputy director of DSS in Lagos. I will speak better when I get home.”
