It’s probably a handful of people who knows Iya Gbonkan, a Nollywood veteran by her real name, Margaret Bandele Olayinka.

The well known 64-year-old thespian who often appears in Yoruba production and interpretes the role of a demonic character almost perfectly, went viral about two weeks ago when she cried that after spending decades in the industry, she can hardly finish building her old house not to talk of getting a car for mobility.

Nevertheless, her cry seem to have yielded results as a Clergyman, Pastor Gabriel Agbala, stormed her residence and presented her with a cash gift of over N5million. He stated that the money was contribution made by numerous fans who felt the veteran deserved a better condition of living.

Expectedly, Iya Gbonkan, full of appreciation thanked all Nigerians who had found her worthy to be appreciated with their contributions.
