Inclusive African children’s runway returns for third edition

Abuja Set to Host Vibrant Showcase Promoting Disability Inclusion Through Fashion

The Inclusive African Children’s Runway is set to return for its third edition on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at the FCT Exhibition Pavilion in Abuja.

Organized by The Engraced Ones Prayer Support and Advocacy Initiative, the annual event unites children of all physical and intellectual abilities in a colourful fashion showcase that champions disability inclusion, celebrates cultural heritage, and advocates for social justice.

Since its inception in 2023, the runway has blossomed into a powerful platform where children with disabilities take center stage—redefining beauty standards, challenging stereotypes, and amplifying the voices often left unheard. Each edition of the event inspires a new generation of advocates committed to creating a world where every child is valued, visible, and empowered.

This year’s edition follows the success of an international showcase held in Dayton, USA in April 2025, reinforcing a shared global message: every child deserves to be seen, celebrated, and supported.

Organizers promise an even more dynamic experience this year, blending culture, colour, courage, and a deeper call to action. Through the powerful mediums of fashion, music, and storytelling, the event brings together families, allies, and changemakers to call for equal access to education, inclusive policy-making, and safe, supportive environments for all children—regardless of ability.

“Too many children grow up unseen, their dreams dimmed by silence and exclusion. The Inclusive African Children’s Runway changes that. It’s where stories come alive, confidence is celebrated, and inclusion becomes a lived experience,”
— Biboara Yinkere, Convener

The organizers are calling on individuals, professionals, brands, organizations, and changemakers to support the cause. Contributions can come in the form of sponsorships, medical services, technical expertise, professional support, publicity partnerships, or volunteer engagement.

“Together, we can build stages where confidence blooms and inclusion becomes a daily reality for every child,” they said.
