President Bola Tinubu has expressed his condolences to renowned Nigerian author, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, and her family following the death of her son, Nkanu Nnamdi.
In a State House press statement issued on Thursday, the President extended his sympathies to Adichie, her husband, Dr Ivara Esege, and their entire family, describing the loss of a child as one of the most devastating experiences any parent can endure.
President Tinubu, who noted that he has personally experienced the pain of losing a loved one, said he deeply empathised with the family during what he described as a profoundly difficult time.
He praised Adichie as a literary icon whose works have brought inspiration, joy, and enlightenment to readers across the world, and prayed that she and her family would find strength and comfort in God amid their grief.
The President assured the family of his thoughts and prayers as they mourn their loss.
