Ismail Mohammed of Maijere village in Saminaka, Lere Local Government Area of Kaduna state, who plotted the kidnap and killing of one of his brothers named Kabiru Mohammed has been arrested by the State Police.

It was gathered that Ismail who collected N120,000 as ransom from their family, still went ahead to kill his brother in conjunction with his accomplices.

Ismail was paraded alongside 502 suspects arrested for various crimes such as banditry, armed robbery, cattle rustling, culpable homicide, vandalism, etc at the command headquarters on Thursday.

DSP Muhammed Jalige, the State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) during a press briefing told newsmen that Ismail, plotted and kidnapped one of his brothers and demanded ransom from their family.

Jalinge said despite collecting the ransom of N120,000 from his family to secure the release of the abductee, Ismail killed his brother, Kabiru.

The PPRO revealed that it was during investigation that Ismail was fished out as the mastermind of the crime and subsequently arrested.

He said the suspect who has since confessed to the crime will be charged to court immediately investigations are over.
