Ned Nwoko confirms Regina Daniels’ leaked medical reports authentic

Senator Ned Nwoko, who represents Delta North, has issued a detailed statement affirming the authenticity of widely circulated medical documents alleging that his estranged wife, actress Regina Daniels, is battling severe substance abuse. The clarification came after one of the hospitals mentioned in the reports publicly denied releasing any such document, sparking widespread controversy.

The statement, posted Saturday on Nwoko’s Instagram page and signed by the head of his Communications Team, said the reports were real but had been leaked without authorisation — something the implicated medical institutions are legally bound to condemn.

Serenity Royale Hospital in Abuja had earlier distanced itself from an alleged report attributed to its Managing Director, Adekunle Adesina, which claimed Daniels was diagnosed with substance use disorder and placed on a home-based detox programme beginning September 24, 2025. While the hospital denied circulating the document, Nwoko’s team insists it did not deny writing it.

“The reports are genuine,” the statement said. “The rehabilitation centre only clarified that it did not publish or circulate the documents. They did not deny authoring them; their concern is the leak itself.”

Nwoko’s camp further encouraged the public to examine the medical reports in full, asserting that both the toxicology test and the Serenity Hospital evaluation confirm the presence of multiple dangerous substances — including marijuana, cocaine, morphine, opiates, and extremely high levels of alcohol.

The statement also referenced a separate report from Nizamiya Hospital dated October 3, which allegedly documented an emergency in which Daniels was brought in unconscious following a drug overdose. “These facts are documented, consistent, and deeply alarming,” it added.

According to the senator’s team, medical personnel also highlighted repeated interference from the actress’s siblings, who allegedly downplayed her condition and continued enabling her substance use even during rehabilitation. This, they said, made her treatment efforts “impossible.”

The statement suggested that Daniels’ recent online behaviour mirrors these alleged struggles, noting that Nwoko’s push for therapy stems from concerns that “several of Regina’s recent decisions are not coming from a stable and healthy frame of mind.”

It went on to argue that private attempts to help her had failed and that the seriousness of the situation now required public intervention. “Must we wait until Regina reaches a point of irreversible harm before we support her?” it asked.

The senator’s team concluded that the reports were authentic and that Daniels requires sustained treatment, structured support, and protection: “She is a mother, and she deserves the chance to regain her health and stability.”

Regina Daniels, however, has rejected many of the senator’s claims. In her earlier response, she acknowledged past drug use but insisted it had nothing to do with their marital issues. She accused Nwoko of exaggerating her struggles, manipulating the narrative to damage her reputation, and even enabling her substance use in the past. Daniels also alleged that he isolated her by targeting her friends and family.

The dispute continues to unfold publicly as both sides trade accusations over responsibility, health, and the collapse of their marriage.
