Nigeria At 64: Ogun PDP calls for prayers, collective efforts towards national development

As Nigeria celebrates her 64th Independence Anniversary, the Ogun State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has joins millions of Nigerians in commemorating this significant milestone in our nation’s history.

In a statement signed by Austin Oniyokor, state publicity secretary of the party, PDP noted that, “this occasion calls for deep reflection on the sacrifices made by our past heroes to secure the freedom and sovereignty of our dear nation.”

“The Ogun State PDP, under the capable leadership of Hon. (Dr.) Sikirullahi Ogundele as the State Chairman, want to use this opportunity to call on all Nigerians, especially the good people of Ogun State, to intensify prayers for our nation.

“It is evident that the challenges we face today, ranging from insecurity, economic instability, unemployment and social unrest, require divine intervention.

“But, beyond prayers, it is also time for all citizens to come together in unity and work relentlessly towards achieving the dreams of our founding fathers – a prosperous, peaceful and working Nigeria.

“As we reflect on our journey so far, it is important to remind ourselves that nation-building is a collective responsibility that requires the commitment of both the leaders and the followers.

“We urge the government at all levels to focus on providing good governance, addressing the needs of the people, and ensuring the principles of justice, equity and fairness are upheld.

“Once again, on behalf of the Ogun State PDP Executive Committee, chaired by Hon. (Dr.) Sikirulai Ogundele, we congratulate Nigerians on this special occasion and call for sustained efforts toward nation-building. With God on our side, with hard work, dedication and prayers, we can overcome our current challenges and build a brighter future for generations to come.

“We remain committed to the progress and development of Ogun State and as a whole.”
