The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has enlisted four Nigerian celebrities as champions for children’s rights. The celebrities are Cobhams Asuquo, Waje, Kate Henshaw, and Ali Nuhu.

The celebrities will work with UNICEF to raise awareness of the rights of children and to advocate for policies and programs that support children’s well-being. They will also use their platforms to reach a wider audience and to encourage people to take action on behalf of children for the next 12 months.

“We are truly elated to join hands with such influential voices in the entertainment industry,” said Cristian Munduate, UNICEF Representative in Nigeria. “Their dedication and passion for children’s rights will undeniably amplify the urgency of the issues we fight for daily.”

The four celebrities bring a wealth of experience and talent to their new roles as UNICEF Champions. While Cobhams Asuquo is a singer-songwriter and producer who has won numerous awards for his music, Waje is a singer and actress who is known for her advocacy work for women and girls.

Kate Henshaw is an award winning actress and philanthropist who has worked on a number of projects to improve the lives of children while Ali Nuhu is an actor and filmmaker who is passionate about using his art to promote peace and understanding.

The four celebrities will be working with UNICEF on a variety of projects, including promoting education for all children, ending child marriage, and protecting children from violence. They will also be using their platforms to raise awareness of the challenges facing children in Nigeria, such as poverty, malnutrition, and lack of access to healthcare.
