NNPP’s Jibrin holds second closed-door meeting with Tinubu in 14 day

The lawmaker representing Kiru/Bebeji Federal Constituency of Kano State in the House of Representatives, Hon. Abdulmumin Jibrin Kofa, on Sunday night held another closed-door meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja — his second in less than two weeks.

The meeting, which lasted for nearly two hours, was held between 9pm and 11pm. Although Jibrin declined to disclose details of their discussions, sources suggested it might be related to the relationship between former Kano State governor, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, and the President, as well as growing anti-APC sentiments in certain parts of the North.

When approached by State House Correspondents after the meeting, Jibrin refused to comment on the specifics. However, during his last visit to the Villa ten days earlier, he had told journalists that his discussions with the President centred on “issues of national development.”
