Ogun APC spokesperson Tunde Oladunjoye passes away at 58

Tunde Oladunjoye, the spokesperson for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun state, has died at the age of 58. He passed away on Friday, April 4, while receiving medical treatment in the United Kingdom.

He had travelled on holiday before taking ill about a week ago.

Oladunjoye, who hailed from Ijebu-Itele in Ijebu East LGA, served as a supervisory councillor before being elected the chairman of Ijebu East Local Government Area.

Apart from serving on the board of a federal Polytechnic, he was also board chairman of the Ogun Television (OGTv) before becoming APC’s spokesperson in the state.

Ogun Governor Dapo Abiodun to whom he was a media consultant, described his death as a “terrible and devastating loss,” praising Oladunjoye’s dedication and contributions to the party and state government.

Abiodun stated that Oladunjoye was a dynamic and loyal politician who died in his prime. He credited Oladunjoye with defending the party’s programmes, policies, and philosophy, and contributing significantly to the party’s growth and successes.

The governor extended his condolences to Oladunjoye’s immediate family, the Ogun APC community, and everyone who knew him or had the privilege of working with him.
