Rep Ogene donates ₦1m to upcoming musician, urges youths to explore creative talents

In tandem with his resolve to encourage youths and women to be self-reliant, Hon. Afam Victor Ogene over the weekend gifted an upcoming artist, Daniel Arthur Igweatu, with the sum of one million naira.

Hon. Ogene, who represents Ogbaru Federal Constituency of Anambra State in the Nigerian House of Representatives, made the donation at the official presentation of a musical album by the traditional singer.

Speaking through his Chief of Staff, Hon. Chinedu Uwolloh, the Rep member urged youths to always seek to discover their creative edge and exploit the goodness thereof.

“God in His infinite goodness has imbued every human being with certain peculiar gifts, through our heads, voice, hands,legs, ex cetera. What remains is to discover where one fits most, and seek to enhance it for productive gain,” Hon. Ogene said.

Earlier, Hon. Uwolloh had told the gathering that Hon. Ogene had advanced the sum of N300,000 to enable the promising musician to produce the album.

“Let me restate that our Leader, Hon. Afam Ogene is willing, and ready, to support any youth within Ogbaru Federal Constituency to realize his or her potential, as promised during his electioneering campaign.

“In fact, because of his belief in human capital development, Hon. Ogene had empowered hundreds of youths and women in training and cash grants, in such areas as fish farming, renewable energy, ICT and Agric value chain.
