National Security Adviser (NSA) Nuhu Ribadu has received a visiting delegation from the United States Congress at his office in Abuja, following up on last month’s high-level security discussions in Washington.
The delegation, led by senior members of the U.S. House of Representatives, included Mario Díaz-Balart, Norma Torres, Scott Franklin, Juan Ciscomani, and Riley Moore.
Ribadu said Nigeria is ready to strengthen its partnership with the United States, particularly in counter-terrorism efforts, regional stability, and broader strategic security cooperation.
U.S. Ambassador to Nigeria, Richard Mills, was also present, underscoring the significance both countries place on the dialogue.
“Our discussions focused on counter-terrorism cooperation, regional stability, and strengthening the Nigeria–U.S. strategic security partnership,” Ribadu said, expressing optimism that the engagement will further deepen trust, collaboration, and shared commitment to peace and security.
