Skit maker, Trinity Guy released from police custody

Abdullahi Maruff Adisa, popular online skit maker also known as Trinity Guy, has been set free from detention.

Trinity Guy was freed on Friday night as soon as he fulfilled the terms of his bail.

Abdulgafar Ahmad, alias Cute Abiola, another well-known content creator, shared a post on his Facebook page announcing the skit maker’s release.

Posting a photo of Trinity Guy to make the announcement, Cute Abiola said he hopes the best for him, and that Almighty Allah continues to lead him in the correct direction. “Welcome back My guy don pray tire, see him forehead.”

Newspread reported that Trinity Guy was charged in June by the Oyo State police command on two counts of conspiracy, sexual abuse, and exploitation in response to his contentious prank video with a minor.

The skit creator and the parents of the child featured in the prank video were ordered to remain in custody until the next court date on July 11 by Magistrate PO Adetuyibi at the June 26 court session.

The Magistrate further extended the skit maker’s remand in the Agodi prison during the second session.
