SportyTV joins DStv, GOtv line-up, expands sports coverage across Africa

SportyTV has been added to select DStv and GOtv packages across Africa, giving subscribers access to a broader range of sports content, including live events, news, analysis, and highlights.

Available to DStv Yanga and GOtv Jolli subscribers in Nigeria, as well as GOtv customers in Kenya and Ghana, the 24-hour sports channel strengthens the sports entertainment offering on both platforms.

CANAL+ Africa CEO David Mignot described the partnership as a step towards making quality sports content more accessible to viewers across the continent. Sporty Group Founder and CEO Sudeep Ramnani said the collaboration aligns with the company’s mission of expanding access to sports and sports storytelling for African audiences.

According to CANAL+, SportyTV complements SuperSport’s existing coverage by offering additional live sporting events and related programming. The channel’s football content includes the English Premier League, Carabao Cup, EFL Championship, Women’s FA Cup, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A, Spanish Super Cup, Copa Libertadores, Argentine League, and Brazil’s Serie A.

SportyTV will also feature basketball content, including NBA coverage, as well as dedicated club channels such as Real Madrid TV, Arsenal TV, Chelsea TV, and Manchester City TV. Other programming includes football leagues from Greece and Saudi Arabia, among other international sporting events.

The channel officially launched on June 10, 2026, and is available in HD on DStv Channel 236 and GOtv Channel 58 in Nigeria.
