Stakeholders hail Thespian Theatre as BOWEN students show talent on stage

Stakeholders, including seasoned dramatist, Prof Rasaki Ojo Bakare, have commended the Thespian Family Theatre & Productions for facilitating the performance of ‘Ekun Omi’, an environment-advocacy play, at BOWEN University, Iwo.

The university management and Ojo Rasaki, who is the playwright, also commended the institution’s students who acted the play.

The‘Ekun Omi’production was the brainchild of Thespian Theatre, founded by Mrs Jaiyesinmi.

Thespian and BOWEN collaborated as part of the company’s drive to call attention to the health of the environment. The troupe sponsored the production and will do same in 11 other universities across the country, with other plays variously addressing environmental issues.

Speaking on the success of the show, Ojo Rasaki said it really achieved the target as it drew many members of the university community and beyond to the stage. According to him, the production also gave the students.
