Emmanuel Eregarnoma, a suspected internet fraudster has been arrested by the police in Delta state, after attempting to pluck out his mother’s eyes for money rituals.

It was gathered that the suspect had deceitfully lured his mother to visit him at his house located on Caroline Street, Okuokoko after informing her he had a surprise package for her.

The victim, Mrs Oge Eregarnoma while narrating her ordeal from her hospital bed where she is receiving treatment, said she visited her son who had been persuading her to come visiting for a long time.

She said on getting to her son’s home, she met him in joyous mood, which was very unusual.

She further explained that her son welcomed her, locked the door and increased the volume of her music he was playing before perpetrating the act.

Mrs Eregarnoma said she kept screaming and fighting for her life while her son tried to strangle her and pluck off her eyes.

She said though nobody heard her screaming for help during the attack because of the loud music, she was finally able to fight off her son and escape and raise alarm which attracted people in the neighbourhood .

The victim recalled that her son had boasted that he must drive GLK this week but she never knew he attempted to use her for ritual.

The victim explained that her son who was immediately apprehended by neighbours and was taken to the police station at Orerokpe, where he is still being detained.
