President Bola Tinubu has expressed gratitude to Nigerians for their goodwill messages and support as he marked his 74th birthday, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to ongoing reforms and national development.
In a personal message released on the occasion, the President thanked citizens across the country for their prayers, solidarity, and patriotism, noting that their encouragement continues to inspire his leadership.
Tinubu also acknowledged individuals and groups who took out advertisements in newspapers and paid for airtime on radio and television to celebrate him, describing their gestures as deeply appreciated.
He extended special appreciation to the First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, for her “kind and loving words,” as well as to Vice President Kashim Shettima for his remarks.
The President reiterated his longstanding tradition of observing his birthday in a manner that reflects the national mood, stating that this year’s celebration was intentionally low-key.
Reflecting on the state of the nation, Tinubu acknowledged the challenges faced since the inception of his administration’s reform agenda. However, he expressed optimism that the sacrifices made are beginning to yield results, pointing to “glittering light at the end of the tunnel,” despite temporary setbacks linked to the ongoing Middle East crisis.
He stressed that the progress recorded so far is a collective achievement, crediting Nigerians for their shared efforts alongside his administration and the Renewed Hope team.
As his government approaches its third anniversary, the President voiced confidence in its ability to deliver a brighter future for citizens and generations to come.
Tinubu assured Nigerians of his administration’s resolve to confront prevailing challenges and called for continued public support to build a stronger, more prosperous, and resilient nation.
