Varsity student arrested for kidnapping, robbery, cultism in Ogun

A student of Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun state has been arrested by the State Police for his engagement in violent crimes in the state.

The suspect, Abdul-Azeez Ibrahim popularly known as Butcher, an extra year student of the institution was arrested at about 2am on Saturday with numerous arms and ammunition.

According to the Police, the suspect, who is a member of the Neo Black Movement of Africa cult widely known as Black Axe cult, also engages in kidnapping, armed robbery, and other violent crimes.

ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), disclosed this in a Monday post on his X handle.

The post reads:

“He is the hit man and armourer for the Neo Black Movement of Africa, aka Black Axe, in Ijebu Ode.

“He is an extra year student of Tai Solarin University of Education Ijagun Ijebu Ode, Ogun State.

“The Ogun State Police Command will address the media on this case and many others as soon as possible.”
