The tripartite committee on Friday convened at the Nicon Luxury Hotel in Abuja to continue negotiations on the new national minimum wage.

This marks the 5th meeting since members of the organised labour suspended their industrial action.

The committee aims to decide a figure to present to the National Assembly.

In attendance at the ongoing meeting are key stakeholders including the Director General of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, the Minister of Labour and Employment (State), Nkiruka Onyejeocha, Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, a representative of the Salaries, Income and Wages Commission, Finance Minister, Wale Edun, and Budget and National Planning Minister Atiku Bagudu.
