President Bola Tinubu has declared his intention to run for a second term in office, stating that ongoing security challenges across the country will not force him out of power.
Speaking during a meeting with Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang and other stakeholders, Tinubu said attempts to use insecurity against his administration only serve the interests of his political adversaries.
He described himself as resolute in the face of criticism, insisting he remains committed to his leadership and future campaign plans.
“I will not be pushed out. I’m determined, and I will contest again,” the President said, dismissing claims that rising violence could weaken his hold on office.
Tinubu’s remarks come amid renewed concerns over killings, kidnappings, and attacks in parts of the country, with critics urging stronger government action.
He, however, maintained that his administration is supporting security agencies to address threats and restore stability nationwide ahead of the 2027 elections.
