More Artistes have lend their voices to the recent controversial statement made by DMW record label boss, Davido, that fellow artiste, Burna Boy is a “new cat” in the Nigeria music scene.

Latest in line to do so is Olamide Badoo.

Olamide, in what has been described as a subtle stand, decided to like a statement on Tweeter which supported WizKid as the alpha musician in the Nigerian music industry and has been on the scene before any of the recent artistes- including Davido.

The post went thus: “Wizkid senior everybody!! It’s s been longgggg”. Olamide, not minding whose ox is gored went ahead to not only like the post but also went ahead to favour the pictures of Wizkid and producer, Samklef.

It also read: “The original creators of the new Afrobeat sound! Nack ur head for wall when u see this post. Samklef x wizkid. Go do ur home work guys. Google is there to help u. Aw! Aw!”.

Recall that hours after Davido had made the comment of Burna Boy supposedly being in the category of Asake, Mayorkun, Rema, Fireboy and a few others, the Grammy award winner took to his verified Twitter account to brag that whatever cat he may be, he is breaking more grounds than most.

Burna boy wrote; “Uniting people from all walks of life has always been my dream. “London, thank you for making it possible for me at my biggest show to date! Shout out to my family @theuglygram @santandave @popcaanmusic and Stormzy. We’re Leaving An Impact For Eternity. “Love, Damini.”

Meanwhile, fans are not left out in the frenzy as they too have picked sides- supporting whomever they love the most.
