The OK Movement, a political platform mobilising support for the joint presidential ticket of Nigeria Democratic Congress candidate Peter Obi and his running mate, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has unveiled a 59-member Presidential Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The council comprises zonal and state coordinators, alongside directors responsible for mobilisation, women affairs, strategy, security, legal affairs and other key areas.
In a statement issued in Abuja by the movement’s National Secretary, Saadatu Sani, John Ughulu was named Director-General of the campaign council, while Sani will serve as National Secretary.
The movement also appointed six zonal coordinators: Suleiman Abubakar for North Central, Hashimu Dungurawa for North West, Amadu Gwambe for North East, Adebayo Adefolaseye for South West, Christopher Ighodaro for South South and El-Shaddai Ikeh for South East.
Ibrahim Jabir was named FCT Coordinator, while coordinators were also appointed across the 36 states.
Other members of the campaign structure include directors overseeing grassroots mobilisation, women affairs, contact and engagement, special duties, procurement, information technology, legal affairs, strategy and planning, security and intelligence, and administration.
The movement said the campaign council would focus on taking the message and programme of its principals to Nigerians across states, local government areas, wards and communities.
Sani urged members of the council to work with discipline, humility, loyalty and commitment, describing their appointments as a call to duty and service.
She said the campaign would require strategic thinking, effective communication, grassroots mobilisation and coordination across the country.
“The OK Movement is not built around individuals seeking personal recognition. It is a movement driven by a larger national vision: to mobilise Nigerians around the possibility of a better, more prosperous, united and functional Nigeria,” she said.
Sani added that the movement’s campaign would seek to ensure that the message of Obi and Kwankwaso reaches Nigerians across the country.
“The journey has begun. The assignment is clear. The mission is Nigeria,” she said.
